Ksenia Kopalova is a researcher, illustrator, and an illustration educator.

She is also a founder of an online magazine about cross-disciplinary collaborations called .RAW, an associate editor of the Journal of Illustration and an editor of the Illustration Research network website.

Ksenia's projects are inspired by the idea of illustration as knowledge-making and an interdisciplinary research tool. In her personal work she mainly explores memory- and place-making strategies. She also writes about illustration and teaches illustration.
